SCHOOL WRITING

Writing has
no audience. Students mainly write for themselves or for teachers or boards
of examiners
Writing is
a lonely process, with no purpose but carrying out assigned tasks.
Writing is
only an aid to learning, it is neutral neither formal nor informal.

REAL WRITING :

Writing has
an audience (a friend, a relative, a colleague, an institution)
Writing has
a clear purpose (thanking, asking for suggestions, complaining..)
Writing is
formal or informal with style and register appropriate to the occasion.

WHY A WRITING PROJECT?
|
To learn
how communicate effectively in English in the age of information technology
(e-mail )
To exchange
information with students of same age living in Taiwan.
To enhance
intercultural competence: to be able to comprehend, tolerate and respond to
diversity in intercultural contacts.
